Antonio Conte has revealed that Sergio Reguilon is suffering with a bit of a groin pain at present.

Reguilon has been a rein the Tottenham XI in recent weeks with Ryan Sessegnon out injured, the Spaniard dropped out of the team for the Premier League clash against Brentford.

Despite the groin issue, Reguilon was fit enough to be part of the squad at Brentford Community Stadium and took his place on the bench in west London.

His absence from the team means that Sessegnon returned to the pitch for the first time since injuring his hamstring in the 5-0 win over Everton at the start of March.

Ahead of the tie, Antonio Conte revealed that the Spaniard was in fact carrying a slight injury of his own.

“First of all, Sergio is suffering a bit of groin pain, medical department is trying to monitor the situation,” the Italian explained.

“We are trying to take care of this problem, to solve this problem. He’s available for the bench.”

Sergio Reguilon hasn’t been the only Spurs player to play with an injury this season, after Oliver Skipp revealed last week that he had been playing with an injury for most of this season. And fans can only hope he’s fit for the rest of the season as Tottenham cannot afford to lose any player now with Champions League football at stake.
