- “He [Gabriel] felt something so hopefully Ben will be fit, and hopefully we can recover Gaby,’ Arteta told Sky Sports. ‘Because obviously we don’t have enough players in the back.’
In his press conference ahead of the Newcastle match, Arteta told the club’s official website when asked about the availability of the two centre-halves.
“We will know probably more tomorrow (Sunday), so we wanted to extend this period as much as possible to understand how they are recovering, how they are feeling, assess them and tomorrow probably we will know more about how they are.”
Arteta on Gabriel Magalhaes injury update: “Tomorrow will be the day we will have better answers, probably not the answers that we want until matchday, but hopefully better answers.”
However, Arsenal is given a huge boost ahead of Newcastle match as Gabriel Magalhaes is fit enough to make the matchday squad, and will be tested later to confirm whether he’s fit enough to start a must-win match against Newcastle at St. James Park.
