According to Goal, Tottenham are thought to be leading the race for Spence ahead of the summer transfer window, with Antonio Conte keen on solving his right wing-back issue.
The highly-rated right-back has been catching the eye during a loan spell at Nottingham Forest, which has prompted a wide range of interest domestically and overseas as they all look to prize away the talented youngster.
Fabio Paratici was spotted at the City Ground scouting Nottingham Forest Djed Spence against Leicester City in the FA Cup Fourth Round and Spurs are understood to have made a bid to land Spence during the January window of 2022, as the English right-back certainly fits Spurs’ current system and will thrive playing a more attacking role for the north Londoners.

However, Football London journalist Alasdair Gold has claimed that Tottenham might not sign Nottingham Forest star Djed Spence in the summer.
“Spurs like Djed Spence. Fabio Paratici went to watch him recently. Spence certainly ticks the homegrown box and is a talented young defender with plenty of attacking potential.
“I wouldn’t be surprised, however, if Spurs look at Stephane Singo, Torino’s 21-year-old right wing-back instead of Spence. He ticks a lot of boxes for Spurs, Paratici and Conte.”
Doherty has shown in the past few days he can be relied upon, however, Antonio Conte is still interested in signing another right back as he has seen enough from Emerson Royal who arrived from Barcelona in the summer.
