Tottenham Hotspur youngster Ryan Sessegnon may force Sergio Reguilon into a summer move away from north London according to Alasdair Gold.
The two left-sided players have been battling for a place in Antonio Conte’s starting XI since the Italian coach arrived at Spurs in November.
And Gold has suggested the £25.2m-rated Reguilon may suffer as a result of Conte’s faith in Sessegnon with reports hinting at a potential departure this summer for the Spaniard:
“So yeah, superb, really happy with Sess and time to push on now. If he can stay clear of injuries play these last three matches of the season for Spurs, get what could be a really crucial pre-season in under Conte. Next season, I think he makes that left wing-back spot his own.
“I think he does, because like I say I’m not entirely sure whether Sergio Reguilon will still be at the club or not, or whether that will be a move that happens and I think, Sess, he’s the chosen one, as it were.”
Sergio Reguilon has been attracting a lot of interest from around Europe, with Barcelona one of the clubs tracking the Tottenham 25-year-old left-back but could leave in the summer as Antonio Conte’s plans for the future lie with the 21-year-old.
