Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma has been cleared of an allegation of sexual assault.
Bissouma, 25, was arrested alongside a man in his 40s under suspicion of sexual assault in Brighton last October.
The midfielder was released under investigation before playing for Mali in the Africa Cup of Nations in January.
A spokesman for Sussex Police told The Athletic: “A man in his 40s from Brighton who was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault has had his conditional bail extended until July 4, 2022.
“A man in his 20s, also from Brighton, who was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault has been released with no further action to be taken.
“The investigation is ongoing and no additional information is available at this time.”
Bissouma played for Brighton & Hove Albion at the time of his arrest but this month moved to fellow Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur for a deal worth over £25 million.
