Arsenal currently sit in fourth and after Sunday’s 2-1 win over Leeds, they are four points of clear of Tottenham. However, they now have to travel to Spurs in what could be one of the most-decisive clashes in years.
The Gunners make the short trip to rivals Tottenham aiming to wrap up fourth place with a win. Defeat however will bring Antonio Conte’s side back into contention for the final Champions League spot and the absence of Saka would be a major blow for the visitors.
Saka came off in the win over Leeds United on Sunday and is seemingly a doubt for the derby clash.
Arteta said: “Thomas (Partey) is still out, Kieran (Tierney) is still out and with Ben he is still a doubt, we have to assess him and see how he is feeling, which is much better. With Bukayo it’s the same.”
He added on their chances of playing: “It’s very difficult to rate with injuries, it’s just how they feel today, that’s the last day that we can assess them and try to get the feeling, basically.”
Spurs come into the game after a solid 3-1 win over Leicester, and then an excellent performance against Liverpool at Anfield – in which Spurs were superb, and unlucky not to win, and will be looking to keep their Champions League hopes alive against North London rivals Arsenal.
