Alasdair Gold expects Fabio Paratici to complete some free deals during this summer’s transfer window.

“Speaking with the staff and Antonio every day about what we can do to improve this team.”

“So it’s normal that when we speak about the summer we speak about recruitment, but we work every day and we speak all the time about what we can do to be better, so we follow like this. We continue to work in this way, in this direction.” Paratici during the international break.

Tottenham are expected to strengthen significantly this summer, with reports indicating the North London club are prepared to spend big on a left-sided centre-back according to The Athletic with Antonio Conte also keen on upgrading his right-back options, having not been convinced by Emerson Royal.

And Gold believes Tottenham’s managing director of football is going to try and secure some free agents this summer, to balance the upgrade at N17.

The journalist said on his YouTube channel: “I think they’ll look at more free transfers as well.

“I know that’s not the sexy thing to do and it won’t excite people, but hey, if it’s Paulo Dybala everyone will change their mind. Paratici likes to look at those free transfers.”

Tottenham have already been linked with some players whose contracts expire at the end of the season, with West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone and Juventus forward Paulo Dybala said to be of interest to Spurs.
