Tottenham forward Son Heung-Min has been handed a boost in the race for the Premier League golden boot after Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah failed to find the back of the net against Aston Villa on Tuesday night.
Spurs are eyeing a place in next season’s Champions League but there is still the chance for some individual glory as well.
Tottenham forward Heung-min Son is two goals behind Salah in the race for golden boot this season.
“In this team, for sure Sonny we are talking one of the best players in this team,” the Italian told his post-match press conference on Saturday night.
“To score goals and have a good performance, only one player can change the life of the team and for this reason, I think Sonny is giving a lot to the team and the team is giving a lot to him to support him and score goals.
“We are talking about a really good guy, I see him every day and he is a humble guy and is always with a smile on his face. To be his coach is a great pleasure and honour but it is important personal target but the most important thing is to try and match a personal target with a great achievement for the team.”
Tottenham forward Son Heung-Min will be hoping he can continue his impressive goalscoring form against Arsenal, as continued his bid to win the Premier League’s golden boot this season.
The 29-year-old has hit 20 goals as well as seven assists so far this term, with Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah ahead by just two goals.
With Antonio Conte’s side still to play the Gunners, Burnley and Norwich before the end of the season, the South Korean will be hoping his team can finish the campaign on a positive note.
