The north Londoners have not participated in Europe’s elite top competition since the 2019/20 campaign but currently hopeful of sealing their return this season.

Currently fifth on the log and two points behind North London rivals, Tottenham face a trip to Anfield on Saturday against title contenders Liverpool before a mammoth mouth-watering match against Arsenal at home.

And Spurs will financially reward their players if they can secure a top-four finish this season; Sportsmail understands the squad will trigger a bonus of just over £1million for finishing fourth. They would receive over £1.5million if they finished third.

In total, Spurs players are in line to net in the region of £3million if they can finish in the top-four this season.

The bonus will be shared amongst the squad on a pro-rata basis based on appearances and minutes played.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is known for rewarding his players with heavily incentivised cash agreements and will be more than happy to fork out what will amount to over £5million in bonuses if his club can regain their place among English football’s top table with boss Antonio Conte also in line for bonus of around £2m.
