Arsenal will hold preliminary talks over a new deal for William Saliba, according to a report.

The defender first joined the Premier League club in 2019; however, since that point he has not made a single appearance for the Gunners, and is currently out on loan with Marseille.
The Frenchman has been a regular for the team this season, making 27 appearances in Ligue 1, and according to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are now set to hold conversations with him about a new contract after being impressed with Saliba’s performances during this campaign.

Having previously played for Saint-Etienne, Nice and now Marseille, the player is in Arteta’s long term plan with Saliba hoping to prove himself with the Gunners.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta indicated Saliba was still part of his plans back in September.
‘He will come back for pre-season and he will be with us,’ he said.
‘Hopefully he will come back after playing a number of games and his performance raising and his development progressing in the right way. That’s why we made that decision.
Saliba’s current deal with Arsenal expires in 2024, which is why the club are hoping to start preliminary talks about extending his stay.
