Ferran Torres has picked up a small fracture in his right foot and will miss about a month of action

Manchester City forward Ferran Torres is facing up to six weeks out with a fractured foot, as claimed by http://@goal.com.

The Spain international is understood to have picked up the injury in the UEFA Nations League semi-final victory over Italy, although he went on to play in the final against France.

The news comes as a blow for both Manchester City and La Roja, who would have counted on capitalising on his excellent recent form.

“He will be out two-and-a-half months or maybe three months. It is his metatarsal,” Guardiola added

Torres has been be ruled out of the crucial Champions League matches home and away to Club Brugge as well as the Manchester derby at Old Trafford against United.

If he’s unable to recover ahead of expectations, Ferran will miss the crucial upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Greece and Sweden.

Both are must-win if Spain want to avoid a play-off and qualify automatically for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
