Chelsea have agreed in principle a club-record deal worth £97.5m (€115m) to re-sign striker Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan. The paperwork is now with club lawyers and once that is formalised, Lukaku will undergo a medical andign a five-year contract as reported by @Fabrizio.

He scored 24 goals in Serie A last season, helping Inter to their first Scudetto in 11 years as the club put an end to Juventus’ nine-year reign as Italian top-flight champions.

Lukaku, 28, left Chelsea in 2014 after making just 15 appearances there following his arrival at Stamford Bridge from Anderlecht in 2011. His last tenure at the Stamford Bridge ended in a bizarre manner where he lost the last kick against Bayern munich in the super cup 2013, this led Jose Mounrinho to  loan him  to Everton football club and his sale was sanctioned later in 2014 for a club-record fee of £28 million.

It is understood Lukaku will earn around £212,000 a week at Stamford Bridge while Chelsea will pay a £97 million fee to the Nerazzurri. This deal could be completed in time for the Londoners to take on Crystal palace on Saturday  afternoon in the first match of the season.
