Tottenham Hotspur defender Sergio Reguilon hopes to be back playing soon after missing out on Tottenham’s win over Manchester City.
The 25-year-old was left out of the Spurs squad for Saturday evening’s encounter at the Etihad Stadium, with his absence confirmed on Twitter due to COVID-related reasons.
As such, Ryan Sessegnon retained his place at left wing-back and helped Tottenham secure a late and stunning 3-2 win over Premier League leaders City.
Reguilon, who has been one of the first names on Antonio Conte’s team-sheets and a key player for the club since he joined them in 2021 has updated the fans that he is not currently experiencing any symptoms and hopes to return to the squad soon to continue the fight for top four.
He posted on his Instagram story:
Tottenham travel to Turf Moor on Wednesday evening to take on Burnley in a bid for Champions League place next season.
