Tottenham and Manchester United clash this weekend in what is a key game for both managers, but especially the massively under-fire Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Norwegian remains in his post for now but is under immense pressure following a humiliating 5-0 home defeat by rivals Liverpool that continued United’s dismal recent run that has seen them collect just one point from four Premier League matches.

With Manchester  derby coming up next weekend, Solskjaer desperately needs a result in north London or else he might find himself out of a job very soon.

The  same goes for the Host manager. Though his situation is obviously not as severe as Solskjaer’s, Nuno Espirito Santo Spurs aren’t exactly flying at the moment, indeed they couldn’t even muster a single shot in the second half of last weekend’s defeat at West Ham after coming from a Uefa Conference defeat against Vitesse and will need this win to quiet the tense situation at North London.

Tottenham Vs Manchester United – Team News

Tottenham

Tottenham remain without Ryan Sessegnon, while summer signing Bryan Gil was forced off early against Burnley and the club are assessing the injury.

Matt Doherty returned to the match day squad in Lancashire, but was an unused substitute.

Manchester United

Paul Pogba is suspended after his red card against Liverpool last week. However, compatriot Raphael Varane is back in full training after a groin injury suffered on international duty, which should help to fix Solskjaer’s leaky defence.

Anthony Martial could also return against Spurs.

Tottenham Vs Manchester United – Key players

Tottenham – Son Heung-min

All attention will be on the familiar foe Son who contributed to United heaviest defeat last season by sending off Anthony Martial.

The South Korean forward has contributed to 5 G&A in 8 Premier League appearance this season. Especially with under performing Harry Kane, attention will be on Son to superhead the attack and put more pressure on Ole gunnar Solsjaer men when they visit the North London on Saturday’s evening.

Manchester United – Mason Greenwood

The Golden boy nominees is surely low budget “Van Persie” with the R2 of Arjen Robben mixed in left leg.

Mason Greenwood has scored five goals in his last seven away Premier League appearances and nine overall on the road for Manchester United(20y 29d) @Opta

And he could become the youngest player to score 10 away Premier League goals since Wayne Rooney (19y 21d) in November 2004 if he found the back of the net against Tottenham

Greenwood seemed to have picked it up where he left (scoring 3 goals in the first 3 consecutive game this season). He  has succeeded expectations and he’s surely one of the most dangerous men if given so much space on his left feet especially what we witnessed in the last week defeat against Leicester City

He will surely  be looking to add more to his goal tally against under – performing Tottenham

Tottenham Vs Man Utd -Prediction

The Battle of El – Sackiso  and  two teams who have conceded more than they scored.

The Reds were torn apart by a Liverpool side, spearheaded by the remarkable Mo Salah, that is arguably one of the best teams in the world right now and it’s fair to say that this weekend’s opposition aren’t quite in the same league.

Tottenham failed to manage a single shot on target against Westham. But, will be relishing the chance of facing a team that hasn’t kept more than ONE (1) cleansheet in their last 21 matches in all competitions.

This is a tough run of fixtures for United no doubt, but a trip to face this Tottenham side shouldn’t be looked at as especially daunting for team that has gone 29 away matches unbeaten before their defeat at Kings Power Stadium last week.
