Dele Alli has posted an emotional message on social media for the first time since being booed by his own supporters, with the Besiktas loanee saying ‘football saved his life’.
The Everton midfielder, who is currently at Besiktas on a season-long loan, was replaced just 28 minutes into their Turkish Cup clash against third tier Sanliurfaspor last Wednesday.
Dele Alli's career trajectory is quite crazy in honesty. Last night during Beşiktaş' cup game vs Şanliurfa they went 2-0 down within 15 mins
He was hooked off within 30 mins and the reaction was not good whatsoever…😳🇹🇷pic.twitter.com/QfP9rQWFse

Alli was taken off to a chorus of boos when Besiktas had fallen two goals behind, with the Turkish giants managing to fight back to win the cup match 4-2 without the former Tottenham
The 26-year-old midfielder has endured a tough time of late, with a loss of form at Tottenham leading him to leave for Everton on a permanent basis before a season-long stint in Turkey but the England international insists he has lost none of his love for a game that has given him so much.
Dele has registered two goals for Besiktas, but remains a long way short of finding the form that once saw him hit 22 goals for Spurs in the 2016-17 campaign.
