While preparations are ongoing at different clubs for the new season. One thing we all look forward to are the transfers and trades going on between clubs in the NBA.
This off season in fact promised to be spectacular with a couple of big names like Lebron James, Giannis Ugo Antetokounmpo and kawhi Leonard set to be free agents.
An off season set to be the most promising powerful free agents in NBA history. However, most of these big names have since signed extensions worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
Let us take a look at some of them :
The Greek born Nigerian superstar who plays his international basketball for the Greek team was set to become a free agent this off season. However, his performance for Milwaukee Bucks during last season was nothing short of impressive. He was named the MVP of the last season after helping the Bucks win the NBA crown last term.
He has since signed a five year extension worth a reported $228 million dollars.
“This is my home, this is my city,” Antetokounmpo tweeted.
“I’m blessed to be able to be a part of the Milwaukee Bucks for the next 5 years. Let’s make these years count. The show goes on, let’s get it.”

Arguably the biggest name in basketball. Lebron plays for the Los Angeles Lakers.
He was set to be a free agent this off season but has signed a two year contract extension worth $83 million dollars.
This extension will take James through the 2022-23 season, giving him 20 seasons in the NBA. He played 11 seasons in Cleveland over two stints, four with the Miami Heat and will play at least five in L.A.
Lebron is slowly getting past his prime but the Lakers are said to have thought it out well before handing him a new contract.
James was named the 2020 NBA Finals MVP after leading the Lakers past the Heat in six games. He became the first player in NBA history to win the award with three franchises; he also was Finals MVP with the Heat in 2012 and ’13 and with the Cavaliers in 2016.
Joel is a Cameroonian player signed to the Philadelphia 7 6ers. Although Joel still has two years left on his current contract worth $261 million dollars. He has signed a four year extension worth $194 million dollars.

ROBERT WILLIAMS III
After achieving a careeer high amount of points, blocked shots, rebounds and contributions in 52 games last season.
Williams III set franchise marks during the 2021 NBA Playoffs as well, becoming the first Celtics player ever to record nine blocked shots in a postseason game during the team’s series-opening game against the Nets on May 22.
Robert has signed a four year extension worth $9 million dollars with the Boston Celtics.
