Yves Bissouma is on his way to Tottenham Hotspur to complete his transfer from Brighton, football.london understands.

The 25-year-old midfielder was due to set off on a flight to the UK on Wednesday and set to stay overnight at The Lodge, the hotel within Tottenham’s Hotspur Way training complex in Enfield, before completing his medical on Thursday and the formalities of his move from Brighton.

Tottenham agreed a deal to sign Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma which could rise in excess of £30m with add-ons, and is now set to become Tottenham’s third summer signing after goalkeeper Fraser Forster and Ivan Perisic joined earlier this month.

Spurs were able to steal a march on their with his contract reaching its final year and will compete with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Rodrigo Bentancur and Oliver Skipp for a place in midfield, with Harry Winks expected to leave the club this summer with Everton among the interested parties.

Although Bissouma sustained an ankle injury whilst on international duty, he has assured fans that the use of a protective boot and crunches are purely precautionary and the injury is not serious.

Bissouma will leave Brighton four years after signing from French giants Lille in a £15.1m deal. He has made 124 appearances for Graham Potter’s side across all competitions, scoring six goals and setting up three more in that time.

Spurs are also reported to have agreed a £20m deal for Middlesbrough right-back Djed Spence and continue to be credited with an interest in Raphinha or Richarlison as Conte aims to bolster his attack.
